Size: 350m2
Year: 2023-24
This exciting project involves transforming a dated 1980s bungalow into a modern, eye-catching family home with enhanced kerb appeal. The brief calls for a significant makeover that incorporates contemporary design elements, making the property both stylish and functional for long-term family living.
The proposed changes include a complete facelift of the exterior by introducing modern materials such as timber cladding and render, which will give the house a fresh, updated appearance. Additionally, the roof will be replaced with zinc sheeting, providing a sleek, modern finish that complements the overall aesthetic.
A key part of the renovation is the addition of a second storey, which will create extra space and transform the property into a generous 5-bedroom home. This will ensure the property is in scale with the plot and provides ample room for the family to grow and enjoy the home for years to come.
Dormer roofs have been incorporated into the design to allow for increased natural light and to take advantage of the beautiful views across the nearby paddocks, which was an important aspect of the client’s brief. These design enhancements not only improve the functionality and appearance of the home but also align with the surrounding environment.
The overall vision is that this redevelopment will enhance the local area by improving the design quality and aesthetics of the property. The project is currently in the planning stages, and we are optimistic for a positive outcome that will bring this modern family home to life.
